Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a colorful short foray into the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek. This trek in the Annapurna foothills to the view point on Pun Hill offers all the best of trekking in Nepal. This is easy trek in the spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by the Gurungs, Magars dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. This is the trekking can be done all around the year.

At the climax of this trek you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountain escapes on Earth. As the sun touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. A rewarding trek that can be enjoyed by every lover of nature and beautiful landscape.

Day 01: Your arrival to International Airport in Kathmandu (1345m.), you will be met by our Airport Representative there, and transfer to hotel by car/van. O/N at hotel B.B.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square) O/N at hotel B.B.L.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (900m.) by bus. 7 hours

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (1010m.) then trek to Tikhedunga (1545m.)3 hours.

Day 05: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani (2870m.) 5 hours

Day 06- Hiking up to Poon Hill (3210m.) in the early morning, back to hotel then trek to Tadapani (2645m.) after the breakfast. 5.30 hours

Day 07: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m.). 4 hours

Day 08: Ghandruk to Nayapul (1010m.), drive to Pokhara (900m.) 5 hours

Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Note: B.B= Bed and Breakfast, B.B.L. = Bed, Breakfast and Lunch.
