Pachermo Peak Climb grade as Alpine PD means ‘Per Difficule’ used from French / Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification. It is one of the attractive peaks around Nepal Himalaya and can be approached either from busy trekking trail of Khumbu region or from the off beaten trail of Rolwaling areas.
The climb to Pachermo Peak trail goes along the well defined North West ridge which rises from the relatively flat crevassed glacier. The west ridge forms a very uniform slope which is covered with ice and snow and broken by crevasses and small seracs which rise up from the rocky buttresses above the glacier.
From high camp where our summit bid will take place, a straight forward climb with few technical efforts required, sometimes can pose difficulties due to crevasses condition while traversing the ice step below the summit.
NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association) named the trekking peaks as Parchemuche instead of Pachermo to retaining its original local name in Sherpa and Tibetan language.
