Ramdung Go Peak Climb, located within beautiful and scenic Rolwaling Valley around North Mid Eastern Nepal Himalaya, beneath massive range of Jugal Himal with major peaks of Gaurishanker and Melung Tse with Phurbu Gyachu and Jobo Garee peaks (7,181m).
The climb to its summit of less technical difficulty graded as PD means ‘Per Difficule’ from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification, however full climbing equipment required for the climb
The peak which is below 6,000 m, with straight forward climb encountering few technical difficulties and efforts to reach its summit at above 5,925 m and 19, 552 ft high.
Rolwaling valley covers top most mountain range linking with Khumbu areas of Everest region towards east via high pass of Tashi-Labtsa, where few trekkers, climbers and adventurer seldom venture within these remote and isolated areas of scenic and beautiful Rolwaling valley.
Ramdung Go Peak climb leads you to adventurous walks beyond Rolwaling valley within southern rim enclosed by other peaks of Chukyima go 6,259 m, Tabayabyum 5,558 m, and Yalung Ri 5,630 m.
The climb is undertaken after much rest for acclimatization and full preparation around Rolwaling valley before the final ascent to its summit.
Starting our adventure taking an exciting overland journey towards east of Kathmandu valley heading towards Nepal North Mid East Himalaya past scenic town of Charikot located in Dolkha district.
Our drive continues on leaving the main highway of Kathmandu and Jiri, then heading due north to reach at Gongor, which is situated on route Tibet border and Rolwaling valley by the raging glacial Tama Kosi River.
From Gongor small farm village walk leads higher past Sherpa farm villages and into pristine alpine forested areas reaching a wide and exposed scenic Rolwaling valley at Beding village for rest and acclimatization days.
At Beding explore villages of Sherpa community the Highlanders of Himalaya with strong Buddhism culture and traditions visit its old monastery of great interest in the shade of Mt. Gaurishanker and Merlung-Tse peaks with other series of peaks that surrounds this scenic valley.
Adventure continues heading at the end of the valley rim at Na Gaon and beyond towards Ramdung Go peak base camp for our main highlight and goal of the trip, the climb is done with full support of our camping crews and expert Sherpa guides.
On reaching the summit top enjoy panorama of mountains and dramatic views of surrounding hills and peaks and heading back on the same route towards Tama Kosi River valley for the drive to Kathmandu, after a marvelous and exciting adventure on Ramdung Go Peak Climb.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Ramdung Go Peak climb.
Day 03: Drive to Gongar 1,400m via Charikot -07 hrs journey.
Day 04: Trek to Simigaon 2,000 m – 05 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Dovan 2,500 m – 06 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Beding 3,693m – 05 hours.
Day 07: Rest day for acclimatization and short hikes.
Day 08: Trek to Na gaon 4,183m – 04 hours.
Day 09: Trek to Ramdung Peak Base Camp 5,100m – 06 hrs
Day 10: Climb Ramdung Peak and to Base camp – 08 hrs.
Day 11: Reserve or contingency day in case of unfavorable bad weather.
Day 12: Trek back to Beding goan – 07 hrs.
Day 13: Trek to Dovan – 05 hrs.
Day 14: Trek to Simigaon – 05 hrs
Day 15: Trek to Gongor with afternoon free.
Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.
Day 17: In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
Day 18: International Departure homeward bound.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotels.
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport, where you will be received with warm welcome and then transfer to your hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city, after checking in getting refreshed rendezvous with other climbing members and staff.
Here our guide or group leader will brief you with information regarding trekking and climb of Ramdung Go Peak, with welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese Restaurants includes Folk program of various parts of Nepal.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Ramdung Go Peak Climb.
In Kathmandu for full preparations and packing as well to purchase necessary equipments,
on this free day take an optional sightseeing tour at places of interest around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur cities, where you will be within culture and historical sites most of the monuments listed as World Heritage Sites.
Day 03: Drive to Gongar 1,400 m via Charikot – 07 hrs journeys.
Our marvelous adventure begins with a drive on Kathmandu-Jiri highway, an interesting ride on the mid-hills of Himalaya, passing villages and towns of Charikot and Dolkha to reach at the base of Rolwaling area reaching at Gongar, a small farm villager nearby Tama Kosi River, which flows from Tibet and Gaurishanker mountains.
Day 04: Trek to Simigaon 2,000 m- 05 hrs.
From Gongar morning walk over Tama Kosi and into a narrow gorge to reach at Chetchet with views of waterfalls, then climb towards cooler zone after leaving warm rice paddy areas.
Walk climbs towards alpine hills reaching our overnight camp at Simigaon village inhabited by Sherpa tribes, a nice farm village growing corns, potatoes, wheat’s, barley and millets, afternoon free visit the old monastery with views of Mt. Gaurishanker and Melung Tse peak.
Day 05: Trek to Dovan 2,850 m – 05 hrs.
Morning walk starts heading North East into terraced farm fields and then within lovely forest of rhododendron, oaks, magnolia, and pine trees, walk continues above a hill and then on downhill past cattle herders shades and huts at Gyalche.
After an hour of good walk reaching our overnight camp at Dovan, by the river that flows from the mountains high above, Dovan a small settlement in the middle of a forest with few farm houses.
Day 06: Trek to Beding 3,690m – 05 hrs.
Morning walk leads to cross over Rolwaling Khola (stream) then climbing up into forested area, where path winds up to reach at Nyimare and Ramding farm a temporary settlements of cattle herders.
Walk continues to a climb and then completing the day reaching at Beding village for overnight stop.
Beding village mostly dominated by Sherpa people a last permanent village within Rolwaling Valley, village set in a gorge with an old monastery and a primary school built by Hillary Trust and Foundation.
Day 07: Rest day for acclimatization and short hikes.
Today a rest day for acclimatization before heading higher areas and climb of Ramdung Go Peak, on this day short hike around for better views of the mountains and Rolwaling scenic valley.
An important rest day which is necessary preparation for the climb, here our guide provides necessary information of the area, culture, religion with climbing technique for the climb.
Day 08: Trek to Na Gaon 4,180m – 04hrs.
Today’s walk leads at the end of this beautiful Rolwaling valley beneath the towering
Mt. Gaurishanker 7,145 m and Melung Tse ( Jobo Garee) peaks 7,181 m, after Beding village walk up-hill with views of snowcapped peaks Mt. Gaurishanker, Melung Tse, Ramdung Go 5,925 m, Chukyima go 6,259 m, Tabayabyum 5,558 m, and Yalung ri 5,630 m.
Finally our morning scenic walk reaches a wide glacial valley within Rolwaling which ends into a wall of mountains.
After a pleasant walk reaching at Na Gaon, a temporary settlement of Beding villagers a cattle herders place and a Yak pasture fields, where local people grows potatoes, wheat’s and barley. Afternoon relax and explore this beautiful areas with short walks.
Day 09: Trek to Ramdung-go Base Camp 4,750m – 05 hrs
From Na Gaon, adventure starts with a climb to enter hidden areas in complete isolation and then cross icy river heading due south and towards eastward.
After a great scenic walk reaching at base camp at 4,750 m high, afternoon preparation for next morning climb.
Day 10: Climb Ramdung Peak 5,925 m – 08 hrs.
The major highlight and of the adventure, starting our climb early morning heading towards snow and ice slopes, within a steep and slippery path with some technical sections to reach the top of Ramdung Peak at 5, 925 meters high; our guide will make the route accessible fixing ropes where necessary.
On top of Ramdung-Go Peak after a strenuous and tough climb achieving great success with experience a life time adventure, from the top marvel the great scenery of mountains and valley and then descend back safely to base camp.
Day 11: Reserve day in case of unfavorable weather condition.
To make the climb a great success, Sherpa Climbing reserve an extra day as contingency in case of bad and unfavorable weather condition, or to adjust this day to maintain itinerary days taking care of client’s fitness as well.
If all goes well according to our itinerary our guide / leader will use this extra day on return trek to Beding or on the way to Kathmandu, making some shorter days for you to enjoy the walks with super views on route trek.
Day 12: Trek back to Beding gaon – 07 hrs.
After a great climb head back to Na Gaon after few hours walk reaching at Na here taking a short rest or lunch break, and then continue downhill walks to Beding for last camping nights around Rolwaling valley.
Day 13: Trek to Dovan – 05hrs.
An easy morning with downhill most of the way past farm villages with cultivated fields and terraces to reach back into tree lines within lush green vegetations to our overnight halt at Dovan between the confluences of a streams.
Day 14: Trek to Simigaon – 05 hrs.
Morning starts with a climb for an hour and then on gentle winding path within rhododendron and pines forest heading downhill back at Simigaon for overnight stop.
Day 15: Trek to Gongor – 04 hrs.
A short and easy walk downhill and our last day of trekking to reach at Tama Kosi River within low land and warmer areas a long descend takes you to our last overnight camp at Gongor by raging Tama Kosi River.
Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Our adventure with last day around Rolwaling and Jugal Himalaya region within Gaurishanker Himal areas, which completes on taking an exciting drive through farmlands, village and town to reach Kathmandu after an enjoyable and great moment on Rolwaling Valley and climb of Ramdung Go Peak.
Day 17: In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
A free day in Kathmandu an opportunity for another sightseeing tour for few hours or just relax and use this day for own individual activities and shopping.
Day 18: International departure for home ward bound.
After a great and grand experience around high hill and mountains of Rolwaling valley with successful climb on top Ramdung Go Peak, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
